Hey Missy. I just wanted to pass on some of the best advice I got from an ET adoptive mom when we brought home our son 3.5 years ago at age 6. She told us to read to him the same 2 or 3 books every night because the repetition would help him learn some new words in context and would provide something very familiar to him. We did that, and it was wonderful. We happened to read "Brown Bear, Brown Bear," by Eric Carle, "The Big Red Barn" by Margaret Wise Brown, and "Which One Would You Choose" by ? (too lazy to go upstairs and get it off the shelf).
Also, regarding the melluscum - I don't think one treatment fits all, but Retin A gel worked for our son.
Very exciting! We got home yesterday with our new boy. What a journey! Praying for all of you!
ReplyDeleteI was thinking about you as I was cooking dinner! We'll see if Maggie has that smile on her face when you land. . . :-)
ReplyDeleteGood luck! We're praying for you so much.
ReplyDeleteSO excited for y'all. Praying God's richest blessing for each of you as you go to "claim your prize!" God has the BEST prizes!
